Triske are a Celtic group from Wellington, formed in 2021 around an eclectic range of music from Ireland and New Zealand. Their original songs are a uniquely Kiwi take on the Celtic sound; mixed with delicate traditional songs and foot-stomping dance tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Brittany. 2023 was a big year for Triske as they released their debut EP Flightless, a collection of original and traditional songs, and headlined for both the Canterbury and Wellington folk festivals.
They are: Em Griffiths - Fiddle, Vocals, Whistle | Ceara McAuliffe Bickerton - Flute, Whistle, Vocals | Bob McNeill - Guitar, Vocals

Em Griffiths is a multi-instrumentalist and singer who saw the Celtic light after 11 years of classical. Finally feeling like they had found their music genre, Em joined and later became a leader at both the Victoria University Folk Club and the Wellington Irish Session at the Welsh Dragon. Teaching violin and fiddle to students of all ages, Em also plays with Celtic bands Ceann an Éisc, Otherwise Brilliant, and plays céilís with The Great Beag Céilí Band. They were invited to join Dave Flynn and the NZSQ for their tour Irish Airs and Graces, and have featured at festivals including the Auckland, Wellington and Canterbury Folk Festivals, Cuba Dupa and Ceol Aneas.

Ceara McAuliffe Bickerton grew up in Nelson in a musical family and was surrounded by Irish music. At a young age Ceara picked up the tin whistle and then later the flute playing in bands such as Bana Nua, Criu & Triske. She has performed at festivals such as Wellington Folk Festival and Cuba Dupa, as well as the Whistle tutor for the Irish Music Festival Ceol Aneas in 2025. Earlier this year she played flutes and whistles for the New Zealand Premier of Come From Away.

Bob McNeill is a renowned guitar player and singer who has toured internationally with Gillian Boucher, Ben the Hoose and Fasta. He has released several albums and has won "Best Folk Album" at the Tuis (NZ's Grammys) three times. Bob’s sound has been compared to Mark Knopfler, Bruce Springsteen, and James Taylor to name a few. He plays with Criu, Crossroads and in the duo Half Light with Rennie Pearson. In October this year, Bob released his next hit album Twelve Dreams of the River.
