About Advice for Day Visitors

Helpful tips for visiting Whare Flat Folk Festival

Tickets and Gate info

Open from midday on 30 December. 

Upon Arrival

Everyone needs to report to registration on the way into the site to have tickets scanned.

Parking

Available near the front gate and registration area. There is no room for day-visitor cars in camping areas.

Dogs

No dogs please.

Food and drink

Bring your own picnic or buy from the on-site café.
Café open all day and evening in the main marquee selling hot and cold snacks.
Bar in the main marquee open from midday until late.
The cafe, bar and marquee are are licenced premises. You may not consume your own alcohol in these areas.
Use of camp stoves is permitted. No open fires.
You will need to be self-sufficient. There are no kitchen facilities.
Limited dish washing facilities.
Welcome to bring your own plates and containers to the café.
Coffee cart and ice cream van on site from time to time.
Supermarkets in Dunedin and Mosgiel.

Rubbish and Recycling 

Please think about what you bring with you and how you can help us to reduce our impact on land-fill.
Bins for recycling and rubbish are available on site, or take yours away with you. Take away any glass bottles you have brought with you.
Help us to reduce waste. Bring refillable water bottles and your own food containers.
