Shaky Hollows are an alt-country band hailing from Dunedin, New Zealand.
After a brief hiatus following their debut EP A Communion of Sorrows in 2017, singer/songwriter Casey Hilder put together a fresh new lineup in early 2022. They have been busy creating an album’s worth of new material which will be released in 2025 on their upcoming full length album Inside a Silver Locket.
Shaky Hollows play traditional string instruments with modern songwriting sensibilities, putting their own unique stamp on the alt country genre. They blend together elements of Americana, folk and southern gothic, creating a wistfully melancholic soundscape. The lyrics weave gritty personal narratives of loss, love, addiction, ruin and redemption.
