Programme Moon Goose
Featuring world class musicians ...
... from New Zealand and around the world, Whare Flat Folk Festival is four days of music, sun, camping, workshops and jams in the idyllic native bush surrounds of Waiora Scout Camp. Just 15 minutes' drive from Dunedin, Whare Flat is the best way to see in the New Year.
Moon Goose
Starting out as humble music-making pals, Moon Goose are strangely adorable creatures that will warm your heart with their intricate harmonies, deep folk-scapes and glittering original songs.
On the back of their debut EP On the Island Where Our Shadows Lie, Moon Goose have been performing to audiences across the motu, showcasing their unique blend of Celtic-inspired folk music, featuring both traditional songs from the British Isles and original compositions that celebrate nature, friendship, and the timeless spirit of folk music. Holly Dove (guitar, Celtic whistle, vocals), Britta Hamill (fiddle, vocals) and Charlie Radford (double bass, vocals) invite you to join them for an immersive musical journey rich with story and magic. Their music will move you deep and good.
Moon Goose will also be using their music making powers to inspire a younger generation to explore jamming in an immersive nature based session.
Whare Flat Folk Festival are so glad to have these passionate young musicians joining the line up this year.
