Come along to sing, move and play! Qualified music teacher Natasha Manowitz will lead the children through an exploration of the world of music, with a particular focus on making music from natural resources. Participants will work towards an item to perform in the 'Kids and Punters' concert, where they will show what they've been working on during the workshop.

‘Let’s Sing!’ is a workshop for kids of all ages (and parents too!) that gives YOU the chance to write your very own song with Rainbow Rosalind the Fairy!

Working together each step of the way, the creative juices will be bubbling as the festival children create a brand new song, ready to perform on stage at the Kids & Punters concert!

**Make sure to also come along to Rainbow Rosalind’s next workshop ‘ Let’s Dance!’ as together you will set actions to the new song, in preparation for the big performance!

With an appreciation for all things Māori, we are continuing to grow our language and revitalise our ways of old. Georgia has enjoyed poi from a very young age growing up in Kohanga and Kura Kaupapa. The poi wanaka (workshops) we run, include the whakapapa (geneology) of poi, an introduction to poi movement and the opportunity to compose and choreograph a waiata (song) poi with actions.

Let’s Dance! ’ is a workshop for kids of all ages (and parents too!) in which you will work together with Rainbow Rosalind the Fairy, to make up cool dance moves to go with the brand new song created in Rainbow Rosalind’s first workshop ( ‘Let’s Sing!’) written by the festival children!

In this workshop, the kids will set actions to words as the final step in being show-ready, to perform the song & dance in the Kids & Punters concert! So bring along your dancing feet, and Let’s Dance!
