This year’s kids programme is run by Tahu Mackenzie from Orokonui Ecosanctuary and is a celebration of our deep connection with the natural world and the joy of creating music and art in response to nature.
The Maori goddess of music, Hine Rakautari is also a Bag Moth, and this year we celebrate her with Ahi Pepe Mothnet by making cocoons, moth lanterns and discovering native moths and forest plants for inspiration!
We will also go on daily wild walks adventuring into the beautiful forests that surround Whare flat, to discover new creatures and their habitats, including the Stream of Dreams!
Joining us is Rainbow Rosalind, who will be teaching us how to sing and dance, Natasha Manowitz who will be teaching us how to make music from nature, and Georgia Latu from Potiki Poi who will introduce you to poi movement and its whakapapa.
Look out for the Kids programme events in the Troop Den!
