As a young performer, Victoria Vigenser received multiple folk awards and in 2014 was gifted the Frank Winter Memorial Award by Auckland Folk Festival. A lover of traditional song, she runs Tradfest together with her husband Toby at their farm in Tutira.

Victoria holds both traditional and classical song at her musical core, and has built an enviable reputation as a talented young songwriter, singer and accompanist. Often described as a mashup of Joni Mitchell and Tracey Chapman, there is a spell binding quality to her voice that she weaves into every performance and any genre.

Gritty social comment and imagery is a theme in her writing, delivered with a strong, controlled vocal and solid accompaniment on guitar, dulcimer or bodhran. With a special passion for harmony, she combines voice and instrumentation to conjure images that cannot be ignored.
